Distinctives

As a nondenominational and independent congregation, we are able to offer a distinctive approach to life with God that includes the following:

  • The supremacy of Jesus Christ – there is no other way for us to be saved
  • The authority of the Bible – it is the complete revelation from God teaching us how to hear His voice today
  • The transcendent natures of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper – we are buried with Christ and we show the Lord’s death
  • The unity of all believers – we hold that all who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ are our brothers and sisters. We are not the only Christians, but choose to be just called Christian

Core Beliefs

These beliefs are at the heart of living in an intimate relationship with God and this is the basis of what we believe.

God — There is one God, eternally expressing Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8, Ephesians 1:13-14)

Humanity — God created human beings in His image for living in an intimate relationship with Him. Through our sin, though, we are separated from an intimate relationship with God. (Acts 17:24-28, Isaiah 59:1-2)

Salvation — God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to offer His righteous life as payment for our sin. Salvation is a gift of God received through faith. Our faith is publicly expressed through repentance, confession, and baptism. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8, Romans 1:16-17; 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9, John 3:16, Acts 2:38) The repentant believer is given the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2: 38ff)

Transformation — God not only wants to save us, He wants to transform us into a new person that is most like the image of His Son. Transformation is initiated by salvation, sustained by God’s grace, and gathers momentum as our will is brought in ever-increasing alignment with God’s will. (Philippians 2:12, Romans 12:1-2)

The Church — The church is a fellowship of believers who join as the life and body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to reach those separated from God and mature those who have been restored to God through Christ. (Ephesians 4:1-16)

The Bible — The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and therefore the final authority in our understanding of God and life. Its purpose is to show us God who takes us to Jesus, His Son and lives life with us. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

Eternity — Christ will one day return, final judgment will be delivered, the image of God will be completely restored within us, and we will reign with Christ forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 John 3:2)

Our Core Values

God offers us an abundant life. You will learn here how to live as God intended you to live in the good times and bad times. Join us as we journey together and enjoy all the blessings God has given us and continue the redeeming, healing, and teaching work of Jesus.

Our core values are ...

  • Jesus is Lord, so we will learn to submit to Him and serve His church
  • The Bible is the Word of God, so we will learn all we can through the Scriptures
  • We are not the only Christians, so we will learn to welcome all who call upon the name of Jesus
  • People are perishing, so we will learn to reach out to the lost and bring them home
  • God is now working, so we will learn to stand in His presence

As the Lord gives grace, we will continue to ...

  • Develop a center for families to worship God
  • Enable the older Christians to minister to the younger families in their spiritual journey
  • Support, encourage and teach members of this church to become whole before the Lord
  • Reach out to the community, sharing with them the many grace gifts that the Lord has shared with us, including salvation, His word, and the joy of knowing Him
